It is very slow, Freight rates are in the tank, the slowing economy first shows up in the Trucking world and you would be wise to hold on to your job and get out of the stock market. I hope that me trying to help dose not get me banned.
Moon_beam and crazeydude Thank this. -

We're staying really busy at least on the local side.

It's slower than a snail with 2 bad knees. I ain't got much moving and what is moving is dirt cheap.
Some of these idiots need to start walking loads there for what they're wanting to pay. Talked to a tanker Yanker yesterday work was real slow ofd the dairys they normally pull out of, grain is slow for me, and just about every one else around here, even the part time box stuff I do in the winter is slow
Bad year but oh wait fuel is half price so we can pay half the rate...oh and dont forget because fuel went down everything else went down. Swear to god that is why it's so god #### slow right now. -
If you want to gas or diesel that doesn't ever slow down, but I don't know how good the rates are.
Adam379exhd Thanks this. -

If you get out of the stock market while it is down, you should have never been in it in the first place. If you don't have 5 years or more when investing, you are merely gambling. For those of us that are actively putting money in a 401k or IRA every paycheck it is great that the market is down because it is on sale now. Some people are not comfortable with the stock market and that is totally fine, but for the last 100 plus years the stock market has gone up consistently when you look at 5 year periods of time or more. It also is a guarantee that occasionally it is going to go down as it is currently. I have mutual funds that are 30-50 years old that have lifetime returns of 10-12%. Do what's best for you, but don't buy high and sell low and then complain that you lost money.Brettj3876, Myron_is and Arky Thank this.
