I got loads booked out of Texas to Topeka and then out of Topeka heading east next week for $1.65 all miles.
All this complaing is cute.

But I do it all the time

Yeah I seen those loads over 42k lbs. I have a cut off for weight, 30k lbs or less. The only time I complain is going in Texas. Lol
-
In my old Century yeah for sure I wouldn't want to pull heavy because fuel mileage was terrible. But with fuel down and still managing over 7+ fully grossed out I can take those heavy loads for the right price.rickybobby and GoGetta07 Thank this. -
Ended up deadheading 230 miles to take cheap freight out.
Good thing I got big money coming out here cause I just took a beating leaving. -
Well truth is I don't usually go to Kansas much but I saw a load out of Houston that paid ok for frieght over 300 miles out of Houston and then checked what was coming out of Topeka/KC area. There was plenty of good freight but I really liked a short multi stop one that got me over to the St. Louis area then hit a homerun going to Syracuse.
Now just hoping a couple loads that I know usually pop up in the Syracuse/Rochester area that can point me back toward Texas show up. Those rates won't be homeruns but they won't be awful either and then I can find the better loads to get me back home.freightwipper Thanks this. -
Off to the eastern midwest instead and still will get hit by snow. -
Long term forecast looks safe up there. That can change on a dime of course but even when they get hammered like they did the other day things are back to normal quickly.
