I have a prehire from TMC and I live about 15 minutes outside the hiring area. I have been told I can park in parking lots and such and just wanted to get some feedback on Do's and Don'ts. We will be moving to an area within the hiring area and eventually this will not be an issue. I mentioned to the recruiter that I could have an address to park the truck even though I did not live there; they seem to be fine with that. So I am wondering if I should talk to owners of shopping centers and stores or do truckers just park in places without asking? Thanks in Advance....

Just parking without asking is a good way to come back to no truck! Or at the least a parking ticket.

Do some digging around and asking other drivers where they park. Often times you can find a place that will allow parking, some places charge a small monthly fee.

yeah. Certainly don't want to do that. I'm trying to work out a temporary deal until I move. Are there certain stores? Companies? or does anyone want to rent a space South of 90 and Rochester NY?

Some of the small truck stops allow parking, also some trucking companies might allow you to park on their lot for the weekend when they won't be moving around.

Where abouts in Rochester. Theres Marketplace mall. there are cameras if there is company policy. there is a little truck stop on Leigh station road, not too far from the leigh station diner. i think you have to pay like 5 bucks tho. target and lowes parking lot. the lowes parking lot is a bit small. The target parking lot has cameras also. ... At the mall the is a wide open parking lot where DSW is right across from Dicks sporting goods. I see Trucks parked there everday.
    hope it helps

You can pretty much park wherever you feel is safe. They will want you to draw them a map of where it will be, with all of the intersecting highways and such on it, other than that they don't restrict you like other companies do.

Parking at truck stops will become difficult, though. Becuase you will never be home at the same time on the weekends, and sometimes when you pull in late friday night, there won't be a parking spot for you.

When you say " they don't restrict you" Do you mean TMC?
