Great list, but let's hope you have alot of patience as a virtue too. Trucking requires a great deal of patience.....alot of stress, aggravation.....you have a great mind-set for OTR.....wish you the best of luck!

Thanks Frost. Luck would be a welcome change. A long time ago I had everything sewed up tight. But the pace collapsed in the backstretch, just past the clubhouse turn. As every horseplayer knows, sometimes you have to ease the race and get back in the gate for a fresh start.

Reality is what’s left after you’ve exhausted all other options.

Don’t know about any local companies. I’m jumping through hoops to get signed on with Millis. Rohel and Watkins-Shepard are my back ups.

    Apparently, so am I.

I don't think you're happy enough. That's right! I'll teach you to be happy. I'll teach your grandmother to suck eggs.

You will exhaust all the other options after your third day in a truck stop in KC Mo waiting for a load after leaving three times to pick one up and having them cancel/some other crap when you show up.

Ask me how I know :)

You can't really expect anything in life to be easy. There's a ton of crap in every job.

Boy, ain't that the God's honest truth. But you're right, at least in a truck you can avoid alot of personal face to face interaction. That certainly is an upside!:biggrin_255:

Trucking fits my personality well. I like big, loud machines. I think diesel smells even better than gasoline. And I've always loved driving. I've driven millions of miles, and have owned over 40 cars in my lifetime. Something about the road...

This change is gonna do me good.

I could whine about my job too. I have plenty to complain about. Wanna hear?:smt022
