Because those that get paid by the ton know what they're doing.

What about if you come out from the greasy spoon to find your hood ripped off by another truck and another driver has him blocked in so he couldn't take off?

Or someone else causes you to wreck and another driver stops to be a witness on your behalf?

Or someone stops a thief from stealing fuel out of your tank?

Or you're broke down and someone helps you out?

None of these things would put fuel in the other guys tank but we do it anyway. Why? Because without people like us all there is is people like you.

You make very valid points.

Don't shake your head too much, we're not all perfect. To me the comments sounded more like "busybody" type stuff at first.

Your last comment though is a bit of an unnecessary dig. I'm a decent person. Every situation is different. I just didn't see the value in inserting oneself into this particular one.

The cops can't be everywhere to catch the a-holes. It's up to us.....i.e. society......humanity.......to police itself. If we all just turn the other way then all we have is a bunch of bullies and hoodlums wreaking havoc. Watch your brother's back.

Oh...that's ok then LOL.

Let's say these guys net 25 tons on a load and need $500/load to make it work. That means they need to charge $20/ton. But they are clever. By adding 10K to every load, they get paid for 30 tons and that means they can charge $17/ton. They get the contract by rate cutting and that affects us all.

I wonder if they've asked themselves what happens when they get caught mailing fraudulent invoices, BOL's and scale tickets across state lines.

 

Today with everyone having a video camera cell phone and cameras at many businesses and homes someone would have to be a fool to do something so blatant .
