I used it for a little while for my knees. I never really noticed much of a difference. Now my dog Teddy has been on it for about six months and he is acting like it is really helping him. So maybe it just works better in dogs.

That was an awfully small study.

My Rottie takes it and I can tell the difference in him when he is on it.

I have problems with my left knee, and after taking glucosamine and chondroitin for a few weeks, I have very little, if any pain. Thank heavens I started taking it well before I started truck driving classes, or I think I would have had to drop out due to "clutch knee", LOL! A couple of years ago I attended a dinner function sponsored by the makers of Celebrex. The presenter, a physician, reviewed a lot of studies and basically said glucosamine and chondroitin were ineffective, but he did say he was taking it himself and did notice improvement. One thing about it, it can't hurt to try it. It does take 4-6 weeks or more to see a difference, so you have to be consistant about taking it, and patient.

I figure it's the same as a lot of things, works for some, doesn't work for others. I'm happy for those of you who found improvement - always great to take such things rather than drugs!

The mind is a power full body part
Now if it makes my mind bypass the pain I am all for it

Now the animal thing I find interesting
I still think its the owners mind that feels, or ones mind is appeased that they are helping

I by no means am trying to make fun of or dismiss your conviction

I think RLS is one of many side effects of yet another untested drug that needs yet another untested drug that...

Much better to try whole foods, vitamins and minerals obtained from whole foods and herbals. That way, if they don't help, at least they didn't hurt.
