Yep, that is correct. But hey, you don't have to work at Prime, find another company that works with your idea of trucking.

The other ways of keeping drivers accountable for the equipment sure seems to work so well for all those other companies out there, LOL. Prime has found what has had the best results and there is no other way to keep drivers accountable for company equipment other then making them have skin in the game.

Flatbedders wouldn't care if they chains are put away correctly and out of the weather becuase the company will just replace them. NO need to roll up the straps so they don't frey at all. Why bother with rolling up the tarps and making sure they are put away so no damage happens to them when the company is just going to buy new ones for you all the time? Oh wait, you wanted that higher paying driving job right? Well guess what, if the company is busy dropping $300-500 on replacement equipment for you because you on a regular basis and every other driver who doesn't take care of it like they would if they owned it, well there goes your higher cpm and you end up with crappying looking equipment.

 

Sounds like there are company trolls on board. For some reason I thought this industry would not do that. But corporate is all the same. Hr, managers , etc setting up accounts to make a sun shine when people need real info to help them make decisions on their life. You know the one we tried to make better for our families and such and now stuck in this weird world in between the living and the dead.

 

IT's fun feeding the trolls like you from time to time. It helps pass the evening sometimes sitting at the truck stop.

Oh, I am not a company troll, LOL. Just go look at all my other posts on here over the past 2 plus years. I driver a truck and have for over 2 years now.

Yep, one of those that is out here working hard to make my millions. Just like @FullMetalJacket or @Chucktshoes or any other truck driver out here.

 

Nope, not defensive at all, just you open up a thread and start attacking because you don't understand how a company can do such a thing since it doesn't fit in your paradigm of how a trucking company should be.

This is a very true statement.
I am guilty of buying chains an binders from company drivers at the truckstop. Catch them on a really bad day an you may even get a set of decent condition tarps for a little of nothing.
