2007 Volvo air horn honking by itself

Is the earth passing through the tail of a comet? Maximum Overdrive?

 

Sounds like either the switch is shorting out or you have a short somewhere else farther down the line. Time to do some troubleshooting...

 

The contacts are under the airbag(steering wheel), check those-I've had to replace mine a few years back.

 

07 Volvo the air horn is on the steering wheel hub not a pull cord. Sometimes when you lean forward the wrong way or put your hand in the wrong spot or just press down too hard writing something it will go off and cause your heart to jump out of your chest.

 

Also what bakerman said--it's a design flaw really. The air bag is heavy and the mounts get worn, causing the circuit to close sometimes.
