Could run legal for the fist 11 hours of the day. I was usually legal the first 4 or 5 days of the week. I always was legal on paper. There are a lot of degrees of legal out there. If you go in and they still have the cabinet full of log books in the driver's lounge for you to just take as many as you need. (the story was they got a deal back in the day on a trailer full of log books) then you'll have your first clue. If they tell you to grab a jersey load that needs to be there tomorrow first thing that'll be the second clue. The Maryland run can just be squeaked in legal. If they still bank miles and pay them on the quarterly safety bonus that will be the final clue. All in all it wasn't a bad gig, and the equipment was in great shape, Im just too old for that kind of running. There is a reason they never got Pre Pass. I will say this though they were experimenting to e-logs but I doubt they ever got them to work the way they needed them too. Fresh chicken, like cattle has to be there ASAP.jlawson1979 Thanks this.

I actually decided to go with another company. I'm sure they're a good company but I had a strong feeling I would be running two log books and that's something I don't care about doing. Good luck and sorry I couldn't help.

With low pay, all that isn't worth it. Work smarter, not harder.
