The dam is not helping the local economy much. The parking lot for the shuttle service into the location is filled with pick-ups with Alberta License Plates. There are new hotels being built and the existing hotels are empty. Workers for the dam are to be housed in a camp which is being built on location and not using town facilities. As far as the pipeline is concerned, I do not think too much is going to happen there unless there is a drastic change in attitude from our newly elected federal government. Rates on the trucking side of things have hit rock bottom and companies in FSJ and GP are sending trucks and equipment to auction.
Is "full time", 40-hours a week, nothing more?
