    Looking for general thoughts, ideas, and suggestions.

    I just purchased the above prostar with the maxxforce 13 and ultra-shift eaton fuller. 373,000 miles Wanted to get any feedback you all might have regarding the truck. The price was to good to pass up at the auction. Took it to international already had a valve adjustment done and they said all is well.

    If you could share any information I would be greatful. Like MPG, the ultra-shift, etc. That way I have an idea on what I should look for in this new date with the prostar.

    Looking at using this truck for a 2000 mile a week turn in the southeast.

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Please take this with a grain of salt.....
    The reason it was a good price is because those motors have a terrible reputation. I'm sure some people have had decent luck with them, but none I've talked to. Just baby it along and cross your fingers.

    Had oil sample done and had ECM ran prior to auction time and they both came back positive. Have all the documented repairs done from International. Yes I did check all these things out, don't know anyone personally who has owned one that had there own authority or that wasn't beat up with high high mileage.

    Any information would be great.

    Thanks again.

    If the price was that good try to turn it over for a quick profit .....

    Run it and it will bury you.

    @Heavyd has all the particulars

    Actually I haven't driven any farther then to the shop. Will pull first load with the truck end of the week. I will keep you posted as well to what my experience is with the motor.

    Cat,
    That was my other option was to resell it right away and make the quick profit on it. I just don't know anything regarding the motor or the international truck in general.
