Does anyone know of raising the coolant de-air bottle to help[ cool the egr. Have heard it could, should, help cooling
-
Hey I got the same truck back in July, everything went smooth for about 7 months as of right now within two months I lost the EGR the EGR cooler a molded hose for cooling a mo fuel line, transmission clutch and now what appears to be the fuel pump I have it in the shop already out of business due to the fact that I spent $24,000 repairing all those things. I had to learn the hard way either this truck is Cursed or they are all simply bad.
Trust me I am shocked myself within 2 months i went downstrollinruss Thanks this. -
That sucks, man. Hopefully others will read this post and pay attention.

I don't think this will do anything. Plus, it will hit the inside of the hood if you raise it. Prostars over cool as it is. There is no problem with the cooling. The problem with the EGR coolers is simply bad design coupled with over use. International relies on EGR to solve the NOx problem too much and puts too much demand on the coolers. It is the exhaust heat that eventually hurts them, not the cooling. It is highly recommended that after a hot run to let the engine idle and cool down for about 5 mins. Also, when doing a parked regen, they recommend to open the hood to allow excess heat from around the engine to escape.avgdzlmekanic and QUALITYTRUCK Thank this.
