Another Verizon user here. I run eastern Colorado, Kansas, Wyoming, and Nebraska. I'm good just about everywhere, while my friend with T-Mobile is a nightmare to talk to on the same route, his calls drop constantly. His "hotspot" from them only works near cities, mine is good everywhere. T-Moblie and that ilk are designed really for people living in metro areas, where they work great. Out in BFNowhere, it's a different story.

I use straight talk with a Verizon phone. $45 month for talk text data with Verizon coverage and has worked everywhere I've been except for very remote area such as parts of I-70 in Utah and Colorado

The thing about straight talk(and others) is that the service/coverage all depends on the phone you get since they rent from AT&T, T-mobile,Sprint, and Verizon ..So do your research and don't be ignorant

Straight Talk does not roam. To get the best idea of what your service will be (or is) using a ST Verizon phone, go to the Verizon website and look at the "PREPAID" service. The dark red areas are the Verizon Prepaid and are the areas Straight Talk Verizon phones will not work.

Most Verizon MNVO prepaid providers have the same coverage areas. Some do not roam at all, some charge you a per minute fee to roam.

    Good info ^

I've been happy with my phone service so far (Since 2012). I have never had to deal with customer service so I can't comment on that however

Just recently bought a used Verizon CDMA Iphone 4 and it's been working pretty good so far with the BYO plan

Verizon. I used Straight Talk, and was happy. I switches to smartphone, and that is on Sprint. Terrible coverage, so I switched to Verizon.
