I've been driving since November for TMC, my truck has been in the shop more times than I can count since January 3rd I'm currently sitting at a consignor waiting for a technician to get here to fix a bunch of problems. I've asked for a new truck and I've been told the list is long. So with that being said I'm looking for a company that can pay 27% or greater and will not put me in a junk truck.
I will not work for Melton, Boyd or Mavrick as these are all fine starter companies. Im not starting.
Looking for a good company

I worked for TMC for almost 17 yrs. Where is home for you? Call Britton Transport. We have van/reefer div based in Grand Forks, ND and flatbed div based in Sioux Falls, SD. Not percentage pay, but all 4 yrs I've been here I beat any of my last 5 yrs at TMC. And in home more. Much less stressful place to work too.

Just curious... What kind of things has it been in the shop for? What are you waiting on to get fixed right now?

How many years experience do you have?

Percentages and cents per mile really don't mean squat. It's all about the freight they haul not the percentage they are paying. Alot of the bottom rungers put a big number up to give drivers a warm fuzzy feeling.
Limiting yourself to companies that only pay over 27% is probably not a wise move.Orangees, TaylorMade407 and johndeere4020 Thank this. -
And in today's freight market with it's ups and downs, finding a company with consistent freight is ideal. Running 3000+ a week for the whole year at 40 cpm will be better than sitting waiting for loads at 50 cpm.luddybuddy and MJ1657 Thank this.

I'll agree with that and it illustrates my point. Although open deck drivers should be paid on percentage.

I
I love it over here at Lone Star, yeah we get paid per mile and yeah as you get leveled up you get more, I have only one issue with them, if you get on a project here they don't want you to go home while it's ongoing
