why do they do a background check after you finish school?

Really is a corporate thing. School part doesn't care about anything, just getting you in the door and try and teach you to operate a big truck and collect their check from other part of company. Now other part doesn't want to hire dirtbag so they do a background and get rid of the undesirables. Regardless, big company still makes money.

 

Because if you fail the background check and are let go, you have to pay them back for the school

 

Dude, you might have a point. I forget that not all outfits are respectable like I would assume them to be.

 

So the company is not respectable for covering their #####?
They spend money to get you a bus ticket, plane or a rental car and put you in a hotel and you know you can't pass a drug test but waste their time anyway. Smart move on the company for covering themselves for that. I'm sure hundreds of people get sent home every month just for that reason trying to sneak by knowing they use drugs.

 

Just say no to drugs.

 

I went to a ptdi college cert program and they did it in the beginning and would kick out students they felt would have a hard time getting hired.. or just couldn't legally be hired.

 

Drug screen and physical to get a dot medical card

 

I thought with the "certain" company driving schools it is almost impossible tot fail.
