Will be flying in from Asia and need to get hired ASAP when I land at Sky Harbor Airport. Swift is not an option. 14 months experience in the last 3 years. No accidents, but I do have an overweight ticket from 9 months ago. I have a CDL out of PA, which may or may not be a problem if I want to hire on in PHX.

No TWIC or hazmat either. Have done flatbed and dry van for Swift. Refer me and I'll use your name.

Isn't this something you should have done a little sooner?

Every carrier does some sort of orientation... even the ones that do a wink an' a nod at the FMCSRs.

I want to avoid the 1099 thing because I cannot imagine having to file the taxes every 3 months while on the road. Although paper logs look good for a driver who has done nothing but eLogs since day one, it's a knife that cuts both ways. Thanks for the idea though.

I worked for a 1099 and I only filed once a year. You're supposed to file quarterly but I never did. The man hasn't come to take me away.
