I just received a copy of my DAC from HireRight, since I read that you should make sure it is accurate.
On all three counts of the requested information, Employment History, Theft database and Drug & Alcohol Info, it returned with no information. They don't have anything on me, not even employment history.
Is this bad, or is this a case of no news is good news?
Edit: I don't have a CDL yet, if that makes a difference.

Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

It means no one has reported anything about you.
That is a good thing, I would think. -
If you don't gave a CDL yet nothing would be on there anyhow...
WildTiger1990 and Longarm Thank this. -
Ah ok. I thought at least my employment history would be available and wanted to make sure that was correct, but wasn't sure if they didn't start tracking until you had a CDL or not.
-
As long as you haven't say gone to a company for training or whatever and failed your prehire drug screen or something of that nature, other than that no.
-
Employers report to DAC. No one else.
-
Once you start working for a motor carrier then you'll have a DAC record.
-
Not all carriers use Hireright / DAC though. All the "megas" will, but if you work for a smaller operation, chances are that company doesn't use it.Cat sdp Thanks this.
-
Not everyone reports to DAC. Only 2 companies have reported on mine and one of them I only worked for for 4 hours.
-
true,i just saying you dont hit DAC untill you start driving.
-
The company that you were at 4 hours, what did they put on your Dac?HalpinUout Thanks this.
