    I would say you have a bad oil level sensor also. Check the wiring and plug at the sensor for corrosion also.

    I thanked you because of sharing your experience, I totally agreed at one time. Then ran into a 3406E that would shut off but log no codes. The fault could be read when active. I thank should show no modules if ecm has lost power or ground and that also logs no codes as Heavy said.

    Today we looked at two ways of taking oil pressure. We checked the oil psi with the manual gauge and got 24 psi at idle, but on the computer (and the dash) it only reads 11 psi. The ECM goes by the dash right? so we need the new sensor correct?

    No the dash goes by the ecm. Yes new sensor
