Hi guys,
Can anyone tell me what they consider a good rate or what the current rate out of California is right now?

Going where?

I was asking in general, let's use Los Angeles as the pick up destination and Sacramento as the end stop or even Phoenix Az. as the drop stop.

Hmmmm, check out the loadboards would be a good start. There is another thread going right now where the poor guy is getting $1.00 per mile. He says he was getting $1.20, but since fuel drop, so did the rate. "Unbelievable" what people do.
whoopNride and taxihacker66 Thank this. -
Hi Dave,
Wow, that's an ugly rate... I just wanted to know more or less the average..
Thank you for your reply,

I run local so that differs, few people I know are averaging about $2.50 on open deck, in Cali only going thru a broker.

For a short run like that you might get a little better. But rates out there stink bad right now. I just saw a ton of sub $1 loads hit the board for those areas. Good luck
taxihacker66 Thanks this. -
Well sac area to pix @1.30

Load boards going rate from Midwest to Cali and back is 1.20-1.30 now. This is for dry vans. Yeah, good luck even getting load out of Cali
