I have a 2011 Cascadia DD15 with 620,000 miles and i''m wondering what the oil pressure should be at idle. Mine is around 13 but i'm not sure if it should be that low. Thank-you!

My engine is still a little cold. Oil temp is 175. Pressure is 25. So i'm gonna say 13 is probably right at 600 rpm and 225 degree oil. my engine is a 2016 with 125k miles.

Thank-You. I drove a D60 before and its idle oil pressure was much higher, i changed the oil filter, bearings and a few other things but the pressure stayed the sameAnother Canadian driver Thanks this.

I have a mbe 4000 warm up at idle mind is around 15.
Another Canadian driver, Grijon and Bob.g Thank this. -
13 at idle speed 600. 49 at 1500 rpms. Oil at 225 degrees.

OK thankyou very much, im getting about 50 psi at 1450
.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
The pressure is low when the motor is warm. Makes you do a double take sometimes.

There is a reason your not suppose to slow idle a DD15. You keep idling like that and you won't have a motor.

What would be the reason to not slow idle ??????
Cuz that's the way FL set the ecm.
Me personally, use the high idle of 800 rpm. Also set by FL.
A/C and heater work better should i need the heater.Bob.g Thanks this. -
You will damage the motor at slow idle. The motor does not circulate oil properly at 600 RPMs. That's why FL says don't do it and why they made a fast idle. Sitting for 2-3 minutes (red light or whatever) but to idle for the night is bad for the motor and will cause premature engine failure.Another Canadian driver and Bob.g Thank this.
