And...? That's what all soldiers do.

    And what's wrong with that?

What a naive statement. What's scary is that there are people who actually belive crapola like this. In case you are not aware of it the state of the Middle East has far-reaching ramifications that affect the WHOLE WORLD.

This statement is insulting to EVERY veteran, past and present. Every vet knows what could happen the day they are sworn in, and if they are killed in the line of duty it was certainly NOT for nothing. There actually are people who take pride in their military service, even if you don't, and to hear people denigrate it in this fashion disgusts me.

May I suggest thinking outside the box for just a minute, if you are capable of that? Don't you think the developing economies of other countries and their petroleum requirements may have at least a slight effect on world oil prices?

What I would like to know is that since coal-fired power plants are now popping up in China, why aren't we selling them coal?

Because that is what politicians do. Like them or not, they are nonetheless our elected leaders. What will you say next? "It's their war so let them fight it"? Well, that ain't how it works. There job is to maintain a working government.

And what leads you to believe this?

So you're saying WWII was a good thing? Granted, it did get us out of the Depression, even though President Roosevelt wrongly gets the credit.

And would you be happy if it did? I guess you'd rather have seen more people die on 9-11-01.

MULE MUFFINS!!! You may think this country sucks but I #### sure happen to like it here, so you can walk west until your hat floats.

I said it before and I will now say it again. You disgust me.

Sure, the CIA will expend countless manhours hunting that piece of dog feces, and then just let him go, because they really don't want him. Please...

Yeah, that's right. Our fuel prices aren't high enough. Gee, let's do like they do in Europe and triple our gas taxes.

Well, here's a scoop for you. I don't give a #### how the hell they do it in Europe. If they are stupid enough to tolerate that over there, then shame on them. Not my problem.

And I'll bet you wish you could have gave them the idea yourself, don't you?

    Mack.....

Let me first start by saying, I was not putting down the military or any veteran....my post was an answer to the person before me asking what we were fighting for. In my effort to put 1000 thoughts in my paragraph, I was trying to get the thought across that even with all the politics lets focus on the people that are there..not those that put them there and continue to ask why why why.

FIRST and foremost, regarding my statement of soliders dying for no reason....let me explain...there are soldiers, marines sailors and airmen who THEMSELVES cannot explain why we are there...when I got back from my first deployment, President Bush came to Camp Lejeune, and spoke....it was interesting, however the general consensus about why we were going to Iraq was political and monetarily in nature...and we went, and did not complain or ask questions...but to this day, I have always wondered what the governments true reasoning was.... There are several thoughts of why we are there and I put them in my post......Do I believe that they want to catch Osama....I think its strategically political.and with the rumors of him being a former CIA operative it is suspicious.....I would like to believe that everyone is still overjoyed with Patriotic feelings, however when looking down the street, it appears as though it is not nearly as strong as it was 3-4 years ago....Do I believe they want lower fuel prices....nope...and I do not think we will see lower fuel prices just because the world does know how much we rely on it....all I have asked is that this country to be self sufficient in a manner that would free us from expansion of the 3rd world countries or from the reign of OPEC...look at how the exchange rate of the dollar goes down when oil goes up...it hurts the government, it hurts the people, it hurts EVERYONE, but there are definately some plays on money in the system by foreign governments. You talk about Europe is stupid enough to tolerate the taxes on fuel...Look at how long the government has stopped America from drilling for its own oil...we are the ONLY country that bans drilling off of their own shores....look at the oil they found in North Dakota and into Canada...billions of barrels.....lets stop relying SOO much on imported oil....its time to become a little bit more self sufficient regarding oil.

I perhaps was not clear on it, but believe you me, when I say, I take EVERY AMOUNT of PRIDE in my SERVICE, and I take every bit of pride when I ride with the Patriot Guard Riders, and when I look at a soldier who knows what it is...to show my support.

I am sorry that I am not an english professor and perfect at writing and expressing my thoughts, I APPRECIATE YOUR THOUGHTS and FEELINGS about the subject.....

    Baack Thanks this.

Is anybody else besides me worried about GrandmaDebi?
    Shux Howdy!
We haven't heard from her since May 3, ought, ought & 8.
    That's durn near 3 months.
And the last time we heard from GrandmaDebi's altar ego, GrandmaDebe, was May 5, this year.
    Whuzzup?

Perhaps we need to request an Amber Alert.
GrandmaDebiandVirgil seem to be missing IN action. Either that, or they're missing THE action.

    Rollin' - Rollin' - Rollin' - - - - - - - - - - down the river of no return.
    (Without a paddle?)
    Hmmmmmmmm
Sink or swim or just treading water, tryin' to keep her head above water?
Or perhaps she had a confrontation with a C.R. England armed guard while tryin' to pass through their metal detector? :smt102 :biggrin_25523:

Then again, after painting C.R. England in glorious colors, perhaps the true colors don't have the shine that her words do, or did?

Time to step up to the plate, GrandmaDebi.
The other poster here, who you convinced to go with C.R. England, Billy, had the decency to tell it like it is when he learned the truth about C.R. England --- after making the trek to Salt Lick City from New York while following his dream of becoming a Big truck truck driver.
    Remember Billy, GDebi?
    How 'bout you altar Debe?

IMO, either or both of you have presented an inaccurate picture of what C.R. England really is and what that company actually does to many folks.

Now, you claim to be doing well at C.R. England with their lease option, --- and, personally, I hope you are.
    But your silence is deafening.
    And weakens your credibility.
    Speak up --- Speak out!
You certainly must have learned SOMEthing at
C.R. England in the last 3 months.

    OH!
I almost forgot, ------ I wanted to ask you a question about C.R. England.
Now, I know lease drivers take trainees to help make ends meet when the bills come due, some of which are repair bills, no doubt, ----
but what I don't know is if a team operation can take a trainee, ............ for ANY reason.
    GosH!
With three log books ---- how can a lease team with a trainee NOT make the big bucks?
And with TWO trainees and FOUR log books ---
well, .......... that just staggers my imagination. :biggrin_2554:

Anxiously awaiting your response Debi/Debe. :yes2557:

Maybe she didn't want to hear all the "I told you so's". Or maybe she was really a CRE recruiter trying a new tactic, get rich and fall in love driving a shiny new CRE truck?

Well; I have lost track on this board and other boards of how often people have been warned about them and they say well, it can't be all that bad. I know I have read all this bad stuff, but I am going to try them anyway and suddenly they get put in the witness protection program and you never hear of them again......:biggrin_2554:
