The draw back is the haul will run till the cleanup is done. What it is like is a closed steel mill site needs cleaned up they might remove four feet of soil and haul it to dump site we hauled into Bellevue MI. A lot is very serious dirt with cancer cause agents I wore my respirator all the time loading and unloading. EQ makes you ware it while unloading. Was there about four years ago was always up and down because of the it depends on the amount of clean up sites and they have a lot of regular freight like scrap steel and other materials for steel mills. Can tell you I did better pulling chemical tank but if you want end dump they seem better then most just my opinion. Trucking is really down because the oil field down turn to many trucks. Talk to lady that put an ad on craigslist for 5 flat bed trucks she told me she had over 30 calls in one day of O/O wanting work she said it was crazy. I would suggest stay on where you are unless you are going broke. I haul propane now and we just had our FSC cut totally out customers are demanding a all in rate this coming more and more. Have many friends that own small trucking companies and they said almost all there customer are doing the same thing a all in rate no FSC. Just do not know where it going to end.

Chemical tank where I'm at has down turned for the worse I'm not going broke but I'm not really making money anymore. This oil thing has really put a damper on everything everywhere. I haven't made a final decision yet on what to do but keeping options open and having a backup plan. But rates are getting cut and underbid and even after the market recovers it will be awhile before rates go back up again. It's been slow for me since last June but up until then it was all the money I could make. It kind of spoiled me a little lol

Oh I feel your pain I made stupid money hauling compress gas they now have rates in the 1.70 mile and less this is dry van rates for propane it crazy. Just be careful I have been looking to but it seem like everyone is in the same boat. Just dont see much hope now the truck market is falling use truck prices falling it not looking good.
