Changing again, the rules change but we're not told til after.

My understanding is you can BT across the country if you wanted too.

 

Once your 14 starts the only way to stop it is a 10 hr break other then split sleeper.

 

Yes you can as long as it's bobtail and not to a pick up for line 5 and assuming you don't start your 14 but it's not advisable to do more then 11 hrs driving on line 5. I am no expert on the law or am I trying to come across as a know it all.

 

Sure it will still count down, but it doesn't matter. Line 5 isn't supposed to be bound by hours of service. It's like driving your car.

 

All of this debate is why FMCSA recently announced it is revisiting personal conveyence. I expect they will be clamping down on this in the near future.

 

Easy solution get your own authority get your own trailer go airride you'll love it. Look at the DAT board and start booking your own freight. Schneider cars about one thing and one thing only that is Schneider..
