Stupid question, but my honeydew list this weekend involves clearing some brush along our property. Since I'm pretty gung-ho on my new career, I figured I would make room to park a truck if I have one to take on my home-time. I'm going to clear the brush and have a neighbor flatten it out, then put some gravel down. I just need an idea of how much space to clear.
Average length of truck without the trailer?

Perhaps a tape measure would be of use?
They are not that expensive, and it would give you an exact figure.Ruthless Thanks this. -
I have a tape measure but no truck. I haven't started with the company yet and I reallydon't want to look like a weirdo going out to their terminal and measuring random trucks. I was just hoping someone might have a rough idea.

Reason the other poster said that is that each make and model trucks vary in length. If you go with May Trucking or TMC they have a lot of long nosed Petes and KWs. The Volvos are a bit longer than Freightliners and Internationals. Depends on the truck you get. Do you know the company your going to yet?susitna1 Thanks this.

You can look up the specs of any truck on the website of the manufacturer of that truck.
Why is this so hard?Dominick253 and CrappieJunkie Thank this. -
Yea, it's a local company. When I was out there, I think I saw mainly Freightliners. It's no big deal, I'm just excited to be doing this. Honestly, they probably have you park at their terminal.
Dominick253 Thanks this. -
If its a daycab yeah.

Quit being so hard on him.
Here's what you do, go to a truck stop. Dress in all black, ski mask of your choice. You will need to bring a back pack, and make sure you have a big pair of bolt cutters hanging out of them. Park your cargo van behind the trailer. Then take out a tape measure and measure that truck.
And FYI a 2016 Cascadia EVO is 28ft long if you got mudflaps that are permantly blowing in the breeze.Dominick253, CrappieJunkie and susitna1 Thank this.
