Here is something for you to think about. The black truck with red fenders is the one that I drive. The white truck is the one that weighs in at 27k pounds. My trucks weighs in at 24k pounds and I can only carry about 190 gallons of fuel. The last photo is a Western Star that weighed in at 22k pounds. There was another Western Star that I do not have a photo of but it was a 2001 with the 82" stratosphere sleeper but no drop axle and that tipped the scales at 22k.
Do you see what I am getting at yet? All of these trucks are built heavier, built longer and have extra axles.

There's a big difference in heavy haul and regular tractors with 53' trailers though.

You said that was your weight without the trailers. Which is it. My weights listed are without the trailers.Dominick253 Thanks this.

As I said before it was bobtail weight, just the tractor, fuel, DEF and me, no trailer period.

No... it's not a ford
It's a ChevyDominick253 Thanks this. -
He needs to back away from the crack pipe. No way a normal otr volvo bobtail weighs that much.
misterG, Dominick253 and Longarm Thank this. -
^^okay,I'll take your bath salts. Wanna trade? Lol

that allison tranny would have blown up. A ford wouldn't have made it much farther before something shorting out.

Doesn't help the fact that truck is a SRW model. I would've gone with a F-350 Super Duty with a manual transmission myself (dually wheels of course)but even that would be pushing it.Dominick253 Thanks this.
