I'm checking out a couple listings for drivers wanted. They all seem to pay a percentage. I've heard traffic is horrible in Austin. I'm hoping that doesn't affect the take home pay too badly.

Anyone knows of any opportunities there, let me know. I'm permanently relocating to TX in June. Thanks

Craigslist and indeed... Fuel pays well in Texas, you'll find some other tanker jobs (but not many) unless you're near the ports or pipelines. Also pretty decent gigs running milk 6on2off throughout the state. Austin traffic sucks around rush hour, but like any city over time you figure out great routes around the cluster.

All the shortcuts have been discovered. It's all a cluster now.

I assumed so, attempted to take MoPac to camp Mabry a few months ago, was downright infuriating.

lol don't worry they are putting in two new lanes, toll of course at a cost of 9 million bucks per mile. They hit a lot more rock than they anticipated.

Look into Mission Petroleum as well. Decent outfit with a yard in Austin. Might also want to look at HD5 out of Dripping Springs, hauling lpg. More money in that actually, and are a smaller growing company. Just a thought!

As far as local work is concerned, fuel hauling and cement hauling are most of the tanker work. If you don't mind being away from home, HD5 is probably worth looking into. LPG hauling is gravy. :)

I'm looking for fuel hauler jobs until I saw these last two postings.

How would I find other LPG trucking co's. in other regions?

I seldom, if ever, see any adds for LPG jobs.
