How long ago was it? That is a big factor in it as wellTruckerTourist Thanks this.

15+ over the limit is what they call a "serious" violation. A second "serious" violation in 3 years and you get sidelined for 60 days.
That is a pretty big risk for a company to take if you're just one slip-up away from being ineligible to do your job for a couple months. In other words, it makes finding a company willing to give you a chance difficult, and many of the companies willing to give you that chance aren't really the type of company you'd want to work for...because they know your options are limited, and they will exploit that.austinmike and TruckerTourist Thank this. -

I had a ticket for 16 over. Could be wrong but dont think it will keep you from obtaining a cdl but companies my not touch you.TruckerTourist Thanks this.

Did you just pay the fine? Or did you agree to deferred or anything else?
-
At the time i was just wanting to be done with with this thing and just paid it.

There's a few companies that will hire you, but you'll have to graduate from a cdl school first, because those companies don't have their own cdl training.
I did read somewhere that Lobos Interstate Services is pretty lenient with their cdl school.
