Thanks Driver..

Plus, if the product is as sticky as you mentioned, wouldn't baffles just give more surface area for it to cling to and clean up from???
Just thinking in my novice head...
I am clueless about Tankers...
EZ Money Thanks this. -
I think it would also take longer to unload to get it all drained out..
Another reason to keep it smooth bore....
It really is not bad to drive once you know what to expect.
For 10k let him chrome my truck out....lol!!! -
I guessing they never clean out the tank. And just load over the heel....
And yes a smooth bore's advantage is it can be cleaned out better at the tank wash.EZ Money Thanks this. -
They told me they do clean it every so often.
Not sure what they use but WD-40 dissolves it so they must have a certain cleaner they use. -
10k of Chrome... SWEET!!!
And if it's that sticky, would there be a reduction in the "surge effect"... Or whatever you tanker types call it.
Like liquid or fuel would probably flow freely.
But a sticky compound would be slower???
Again, I am clueless...
EZ Money Thanks this. -
Yes, I theory a sticky liquid like tar will surge a second or two slower than a thinner less sticky material.
However you would still feel it.
If your not going to wash the tank out it's better to have surge plates (baffles) . We have them on asphalt trailers. And they unload fine with minimal heel....EZ Money and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.
