I just made the decision to purchase two new Dayton Steer tires (D510S 295/75R22.5). Also did a 3-axle alignment. Price was $1052 total. Obviously, Daytons are a Bridgestone tire and they are priced right, so I thought I'd give them a try. You never learn if you don't try new things, so I'll try and update on the performance and longevity of these new steers. My trucks mileage is 104382. Aloha

Buy them on the tire account?
-
No. Cash money yo. Lol. Kurt had no idea whether or not that is something that can be deducted out of the "maint/rental account" that we out into, so my plan is to ask Dan or Tim in the morning whether or not I'm able to be reimbursed from my maintenance account. Either way, I'm good.
-
Should be able to get it out the maintenance account.. And I thought there was a national tire account also.
-
Yeah, like I said, Kurt didn't know.R.Hagar Thanks this.
-
Very curious to know the answer to this since I will be setting up a maint account or is this a different account that you have with them.
-
Bill said they have national tire accounts... If you call him ahead if time he will help you in the best deal. The lease trucks like Hawaiian has, takes a mandatory 50.00 a week into maintenance. Yes you can setup an extra account as well
-
So...they will front the money to you to pay for it, but want the money back quickly. So, if you want the $1000, Tim will give it to you, but he wants it back in 4 weeks, so your settlement for the next 4 weeks will show a deduction of $250 every week. Tim told me that if you find a good deal on tires, do it, because a lot of times you can find tires cheaper than you will pay on the national account. AlohaR.Hagar Thanks this.

Holy crap!!!! ...you already need new steers?????

They wore funny...alignment was off...108k milesRERM Thanks this.
