No problem with a green card. Little known fact, but the green card lotteries from several countries actually go unfilled some years for lack of applicants.....

I think that's why you see so many African Indian and Arabic drivers these people seem to have more chances of a green card .

Hey at least they are working hard and making money. I have helped a number of immigrants get started in trucking, gave them info, advice etc.

Well, I have worked in a number of industries that had large numbers of legal immigrants employed in the USA. The reasons are many. I have known people from all over the world who have "won" the green card lottery.
Some of them do great in the USA. Others return to their home countries because they miss their homeland, their family, culture, language, food etc. And a lot try to adapt the best they can and make a living in the USA.
If a foreigner is going to immigrate to the USA for whatever reason (And it is mostly economic) then there are many factors that determine their success. But by far, personal drive and initiative are the overwhelming factors IMO. Somebody who comes to the USA, takes any job they can get, studies English and establishes good credit has a much better chance than someone who comes to the USA and never learns English, complains all the time and doesn't try to better themselves. I hear Americans complain all the time about their life: Jobs, education, cost of living etc. Hey, guess what? If you live in some podunk small town where the one or two big employers shut-down, MOVE OUT! If you're from the city and you are in fear cause of some BS, hop on a Greyhound and LEAVE. If you are skilled in a trade or craft or whatever and there are no jobs in your area, go where there are jobs. It's America, you are free to travel to any state or territory, free to apply for any job. You got a house payment for 30 years? Sorry, I pay cash or not at all. Makes life easier than letting the banks own/control you.

If someone can come to America, speak little to no English, have little to no family support, few or irrelevant jobs skills and get their life together, make a decent wage and have a solid future than why the hell can't an American born in the USA do the same? Stop making excuses. Simple. Don't blame others for what you think they are taking, blame yourself for not taking advantage of what is right there in front of you.

I am amazed at the opportunities in the USA:
Community colleges, public universities, trade & vocational schools- All of which can be paid for with grants, loans, scholarships.
Programs like Job Corps, AmeriCorps & the California Conservation Corps for the youth.
Workforce training funds and programs Like WIA that can be used to pay for trucking school.
    Apprenticeships with labor unions.
Freedom to choose any job, any career, any major in school. Open to people of every race, creed, religion, age, sex, nationality etc. I have been to a few countries in this wonderful world of ours and in many places, those doors are closed if you're too old, the wrong skin color, not from the right group, from a low caste, your parents are the wrong people (Govt. blacklist/watch-list), your religion isn't the correct one etc.

One more thing: Immigrants to the USA often help each other. Sorry if that is a foreign concept for many Americans nowadays. But for people from other countries/cultures, they are used to pooling resources, looking out for each and taking care of one another. For many people, there is no such thing as "extended" family. Family is family and they help each out, in the village or halfway round the world in a US mega city, they help each other. For some people, they are not focused only on what they can do for them-self, but what they can for their family, their friends, for other people. We could do well to help each other out as much.

Why do we even allow people to take out massive loans from the Fed Govt and then default or never pay back the loans? Why are they allowed to major in useless BS and use our tax dollars? Seriously. If you are going to borrow money, at least make sure you can actually get a job with whatever it is you study and repay the loans. Giving someone over 100K in student loans for some useless major or a major they never use is reckless and a waste of resources. Maybe they can be put into chain gangs to repay their loans? I think they can be made to work 80 hours per week in labor camps to repay their debts to society.

OK, maybe I am joking about putting them in labor camps, but still, they need to repay those #### loans!

90 million people out of work in the USA? ROFL :-D
    NO WAY!

    http://www.bls.gov/web/empsit/cpseea10.htm

    25 to 54 years 4.4% unemployment rate.

Even if you count "missing" workers, the unemployment rate is well below 7% in the USA:
