Has anyone used a temp agency (Trans Force Inc.) to secure employment?

I've used a similar one, depends on if you're a direct hire or literally a temp worker. If your temp only you just cover vacation scheduled etc, but the company Im currently with only hired through temp agency.

Depends on the temp agency contract with whatever company. Some will only hire if you work out, if not, the temp agency sends out a different someone till someone is hired.

Others require 1 year before hiring. Or whatever the contract is.

I worked for TransForce for a short time. I ran US mail from Denver to Monticello UT. They wanted me to drive for them permanent, but I got on at Westco, and was happy there. Not a bad place, they tell you the pay and what it entails up front before you accept the job. Seemed to be alright. I'm not sure about the fee if hired permanently, but the company was going to pay for it. I just didn't like not having an assigned tractor. You drove to Utah, stayed in the little motel there, and got back in another truck for the backhaul.

    TPC Thanks this.

I see on their website that 1 yr. Experience is required. How strict are they with that requirement? Can a new CDL A licensee get work through them?

Usually it's for insurance reasons so probably not.
    But call them.

You've got to be able to drive any type of truck/trailer and do any type of trucking job on short notice with little to no training provided by the customer. Experience is a must, especially if you want to get on the better paying accounts.

    speedyk and TPC Thank this.
