Told my last company I needed a Friday afternoon home for an ultrasound for the wifey....no problem right? 12 hours into my reset Thursday night tell me I've got to leave Friday morning...haul an empty trailer 4 hours....then sit for 28 hours for my loaded trailer.....I said can I have 5 extra hours to make this appointment they said no.....so Friday morning walked in keys in hand laid then on dispatcher desk and magically the trailer could wait till after the appointment.....told him it's the principle you pos. Walked out made the appointment and diverted a divorce.

 

Yeah I'm sick of the abuse myself. Dang it let me tell you. the company I'm with now has got me in just about a brand new truck. I'm making .50/CPM , averaging between 2700 and 3000 miles a week,get regular home time,get through the house now and then,my health insurance is affordable, my dispatch treats me with respect, and now they're talking about putting me in a brand spanking new truck. I'm sick and tired of the abuse.somebody needs to do something about this crap.LOL.

Well just this week in baton rouge I sat 7 hours past appt. Had to give them 2. So that was still 5 hours.can you believe they paid me $10/hr for that.no it's not much but most companies don't pay sqat. But then turned around and gave me another load after my 10 hour break that I had to take anyway that made me another $300 that I got delivered that night. Then after that turned around preplanned me on 2 more loads that will put me on 2800 miles for the week to get me home for the weekend. Swww. Dang abuse is killing me

Nope not heartless. Oh I forgot one more example of their abuse I broke down a month ago. I was in a $150/night hotel that they paid for , for 3 days. And can you believe they still paid me $150.00 a day, plus my hotel.jeezzz I can't stand it any longer I'm calling swift.

Well no just being honest good companys are out there.but you have to do your research and homework. I knew about them for a long time. Just never looked into them.took me 25 years to find mine.
I have never said it about any other company I have ever worked for. But hands down 25 years out here and this is the last driving job I will ever have.

 

And no I am not a recruiter. ..I am just a drive satisfied with my company
