Hello everyone. Former welder turned trucker. Spent 14 yrs. as a factory welder, 5 yrs maintenance welder at an ethanol plant, and a couple yrs on the road welding pipe. Got tired of chasing jobs, not knowing when the next paycheck was gonna be coming in. Grew up in a family of truckers, always had a want to try it, and decided it was time. Haven't been out long, but pulled flatbed for a short time, and been pulling tanks and end dumps the rest of the time. Anyway, look forward to chatting with ya'all and hopefully get some friendly advice. Long winded intro, but there ya have it....LOL

Hi KL, welcome aboard. We're all bozo's on this bus, and there's a wealth of knowledge here ( plus a lot of BS) Great folks here, and don't be shy. Trucking is "melting pot" of people from all walks of life, and some of the stories you'll encounter, while seemingly unbelievable, will have you wondering why you did this, but one thing for sure, it's not a factory job. Good luck on your adventures.

Had my DNA checked recently; I'm 49% German. Is that good? I've been sweating bullets I might be contaminated with British blood; whew, I'm clean.
