i know i've said it here before, that JB hasn't done me wrong yet. But I'm finally getting into flatbedding. i called JB a little while ago and gave my notice, so we'll see if they decide to strand me somewhere for the next couple of weeks, i really dont think they would since i am leaving on good terms, but i'll find out soon. cant wait to start pulling those flatbeds though, so whatever happens, it should be worth it.

Well................ they ARE a BAD company. I just always did as i was told (unless i couldn't legally or safely do it) and kept a low profile and did my best to get my loads delivered on time, (in 9 months i had maybe 1 or 2 late loads, but they were caused by things beyond my control) so since i did my best to take care of them, they didn't do me wrong.

Give a notice, but don't tell them your plans. If you've pissed somebody off there, you'll be screwed with, sure. They may play that classic game of pulling you into a truck stop about three days before your termination date and leaving you there for five days. A truck stop that is very far away from your home and will get you a DAC burn if you abandon that truck to go work for the other company.

I knew of guy who was working for my old reefer outfit in SLC who went through this. He gave his notice and then ended up sitting in Atlanta for several days. As his termination day approached, he tore out of there on a Friday evening after everyone had gone home and didn't stop driving until he got back to SLC two days later. Yeah, he brought the load all the way back to Salt Lake from Atlanta, parked it in the yard, and handed in his keys.

I assume he wasn't going to go to another trucking company, as his DAC was toast after that one. Be careful your DAC makes it through this unscathed. Check it a LOT after you leave JBH. No telling what those guys will pull on you later.

They will still get it probably, if not it will be sent back to you and then just resend the info. The address I gave was the most recent address as I had just called the number and got the updated info.

A motorist complaint is not something that would pass the smell test, as a reason to fire you, and to wreak havoc with your employment record. These are nothing more than unsubstantiated claims, and therefore, without something to go along with them, such as a police report as evidence, they should not be releasing the details of such complaints to others....period.

Friend, you have one of the best civil cases that could be had, to go after them for blackballing tactics. Now, I know there are two sides to every story, and I don't know why they would go to so much trouble to prevent you from moving on with you life, but it appears that they are doing exactly that, and on some very weak evidence. I seriously doubt that any one that they have had call them in complaint would be willing to appear in court to testify to whatever it is that you are supposed to have done, which would collapse any leg that JB Hunt is standing on.

Please, for your own sake, contact an Attorney that specializes in civil litigation. Be sure to keep up with all attempts to seek employment, and provide to him any and all written corespondence that you have been denied employment based on those entries.
