seems like swift catchs a lot of bashing, no i am not defending them. seen a company swift driver wb on i80 around mm44 yesterday with a sticker displaying 7yrs, 850,000 miles accident free. dont know if its a miracle or manure, but it was on the road and not in a wreck.

Accidents happen. Tbh I seriously doubt they have more accidents per 100 trucks then any other given carrier on the road. People just tend to notice it more because of the sheer number of trucks.
To illustrate....
Lets say for instance (just throwing a random number out there purely for demonstative purposes) Carrier "A" has 200 trucks, 5 per 100 are involved in some kind of accident annually. 1 year=10 accidents. Not bad right?
Lets say Carrier "B" has 15,000 trucks. Same as carrier A, they have 5 accidents per 100 drivers. That's 750 accidents per year.
Catch my drift?jethro712 Thanks this. -

You should be proud of whoever you drive for and never pre-empt it by saying ' I'm not defending them but-"
That said today I saw a Swift driver pulled up into the right of way in the middle of the Harrisburg plaza blocking the entrance into the fuel island so he could get closer to the door , jumped out and went in . Smh. That's lack of brain trust in the trainer group . Serious dilution. With all that turnover . Can't even get madjethro712 Thanks this. -

For TL probably true. -
Swift has over 18k tractors & more then 61k trailers, far more than any other carrier (Sans UPS/Fed/Ex) in the biz.
