Does anyone drive a 2014 Volvo and actually like it?

Solo drivers do not get those at Swift.
And that was the reason I lost the Cascadia - it was meant to be a team truck.
After 1 month with it I was instructed to meet with another driver at a truck stop to swap trucks.
A Cascadia with 17k trading for a Volvo with 500k. Fun times.
Luckily I didn't have it for very long.

No, the next truck was a ProStar that turned out to be in the shop a full 1/4 of the time I had it for a number of reasons. Just picking it up is a whole story entirely.

A lot of our teams have been getting the Kenworth T680's which seems like a step back in terms of space.

Soooo many things I like better in the Volvo vs a Freightliner. Way more driver friendly.

Except for the cup holder. Adequate at best, and somehow, our drivers manage to break them.

The one above the power outlets?

I broke the one in the sleeper on the drivers side.

@S M D That's a good looking truck. Just what you might see in California.

No. The one under the hvac controls, where my fellow drivers put their Taco Bell cups full of Dr Pepper with no lids.

Mine too! I got it that way. One more thing to squeak going down the road lol
When I was slip seating the other guy would put his coffee in there sans lid. Ever smell rancid coffee? Its not good. Not good at all.
Now he's quit and I think my company forgot they have that shift open now so I've had the truck to myself. Well I'm not going to be the one to remind them about it :D

I was lucky enough to have a new truck that I shared with another guy that also kept it clean.

My two real complaints about the Volvo from the drivers seat...
-self cancelling turn signals in a truck are stupid. Really stupid.
-the protruding center of the steering wheel. I guess that's not a real complaint, as I know it allows for the air bag. Just takes a lot of getting used to, especially when backing.

Things I really like vs Cascadia...
-placement of cruise, engine brake, and wiper controls
-visibility, especially in snow. That split windshield only gets about halfway cleaned by the wipers. And the split rear window is horrible. I drive daycabs in places not meant for a 48' trailer, and look out the back window all the time when make tight right turns.
-the Cascadia dash slopes too much and goes too deep to be conducive to drying gloves on the defrost vents. May sound petty, but I have stops where I handle 150-200 frozen cases, and I need dry gloves.
-something else that really is petty-I can shut the vents off on the dash. I hate air blowing directly on me, unless I'm really hot and sweaty. The Freightliner vents always bleed some air thru and it drives me nuts.
    -sun visor, needs no explanation.

I'm sure there's more, but those little things add up.

I had a brand new T680 for about 2 months.....I was NOT impressed at all.
Rode worse than the shaker or the Volvo......
One thing about the Cascadia I'm in now is it pulls very well for only having under 20k on it..I think once it gets broke in the Cummins will do a little better...
