Seems as though there seems to be some colluding going on, though. Where I am, we are 100% PFJ for fuel, and I can't remember the last time PFJ offered any bonus points programs. I'm not sure what's going on with Loves, but this business of earning ONLY and always 1 point per gallon, sucks. I miss the double and triple points offered by some years ago

Seems to me the list of the "newest" doesn't necessarily mean new location like all the loves popping up. We fuel at the flying J in Fargo, ND all the time and it has been there for years.

I can fuel anywhere but my biggest discounts are TA Petro and they have a lot of parking and nice showers plus a few rad tricked out travel centers . I'll stop at a Loves if it's got a Carl's Jr

Noticing that some of those will include new restaurants other than the ordinary Fast Food foods. Very nice. Very cool indeed.

Loves may be opening more stores the last 12 months then PFJ, but "taking control" of the industry? I don't see that at all.

I'm impressed with the aggressive expansion. In the last year they've popped up all over my areas of operation. Glad to see them building in Liberal, KS, which is an egregiously underserved market. My one criticism is food choices.

No one here can know the contractual arrangements made between a vendor(Love's or whomever)for fuel or other services. Combined with the extensive use of fuel optimization programs and from the outside it appears that the truckstop business has gone crazy.
Love's has recognized a chance to expand a profitable market, at about the same time one of their major competitors(Pilot) stepped on their crank by allowing cheating on the discount program offered. Mr Haslam knows he has a problem, but once you loose the trust of your customers it is hard to get it back. Love's is taking full advantage.
