I'm also shopping for a new home and prefer RGN work. Do not currently own a trailer and I run out of Canada so it has to be a carrier with international work as no point to point US moves allowed for us furrinners.

Been with my current carrier 14 years. Alas divorce is in the air...

I've spoke to Admiral Merchants in the past and it seems like a decent place but the few Canadian agents I've spoken to seem to think the sun rises and sets on 53' Lopro step decks and none of them will admit to having a clue what other agents might be servicing the market I'm interested in.

Anybody here know what AM agents do regular international double drop or heavy RGN work or any other company for that matter? I liked AM because they don't seem to have a lot of "because we say so" rules. Stay legal, stay out of trouble and have a nice day was what I took away from my meeting and I can work with that. Don't get me started on Landstar...

I've got a line on a 55T trailer with a flip 4th, a beam insert and a single axle jeep but won't rule out a more pedestrian 35 or 40 ton double drop. Would love an extendable double but that's a pretty big weight penalty to try and do "regular" double drop work with. Same can be said for the 55T too I guess. Boils down to $$$ potential at the end of the day.

You remove your deck and install the beam. Then it's just two rails, no deck or anything. It's by far the best way to haul a lot of machines.

With all that orange material, looks like one of the nice kokosing wagons I see often around my neck of the woods. I like how they always have good looking equipment.

I don't post very often 4020, but I watch a lot on here. I was wondering where your home was. I knew it had to be a good sized operation. You and a few others deffinatly have my respect.

I don't work for Kokosing any more I haven't for about 10 years. I work for a smaller contractor now, I don't have as nice of equipment (it's not bad at all but I miss my KW) but I'm treated pretty good. He's the one I started in construction with 17 years ago and I very much like working for him. I also worked in the crane rental business for a while, that's where I got started pulling multi axle loads, it was a good experience but I don't miss it. We had real good equipment there to but when the economy tanked I had to move on. Now I only have to pull the 9 axle 3 or 4 times a year so it's much better.
