Legal in the Western states? Lol.

What was your height on top of the cab and on the tail?

14'6. Ran from MT to AZ. You can permit in MT for 14'6 and Idaho for 14'9 both annual. NV statutory height is like 15'. Arizona is permit-able I think but I don't have one. They are only worried about checking ifta.
Mainly this truck runs forCanada back to MT.

In the west (including Canada)they seem to be more concerned about length. An inch in Utah will cost you 350$ and you sit until it's fixed. I've seen car haulers have to hire sun rentals to bring a forklift out to move vehicles to get legal.

I can do 5 trucks easily and they don't all have to be 1/2 tons. The one over my head rack need not be bigger than a 1/2 ton because I pull out my clusters and hard tie it in the front of the head rack. I have a 4 car head rack day cab and split it between the first 2 decks. If it was 3/4 ton or more I would probably have a problem hard tying it.

The other day I backed a 2500 diesel on my swing deck, split another on the front of the trailer decks 4 and 5, another on the tail and one backed in the belly. After I load the 1st one on the trailer I make sure it is in 2 wheel drive and move the first deck forward until the front tires are sitting between the flippers. This enables me to drop the second deck over the hood of the one in the belly reducing my height to 13' 6" all the way across.
I could load another in the back using the last deck and the one in the belly. When I ran NM and TX, I used to carry 7 trucks. Of course that was when they actually produced a simple 2 door regular cab pick up truck. They've all grown since 2002. I was definitely over height and over gross. You can run 15 ft between Santa Rosa, NM and El Paso if you wanted to.
