Name on registration

He said he was running under dba and is now changing to LLC

 

For what its worth I ran into a similar situation when I first registered mine. Plated the truck and then incorporated right afterwards. Had to change my insurance due to the name change on my authority. Consulted the IRB in Albany and they advised to leave it in my personal name. No mention of leasing the truck to my company.

 

I'm stuck in the idea of forming an LLC after claiming a DBA, I would have stuck with the DBA.

No matter... you can simply lease the truck to the LLC for a buck and then have it pay for the maintenance and so on leaving you with a buck a year profit.

 

Let me ask, I have an LLC under a business name and just created a DBA. My DOT# and authority is registered under the LLC name. In order to use my DBA name would I need to do anything special, since they are both tied to each other? I suppose it wouldn't be too difficult to amend my LLC articles to change the name completely, but would prefer not having to do so. Any advice?

You did register the DBA under LLC ?If so ,then you are ok.
