The accusation of late/slow pay has been acknowledged. Clearly some worse than others. If mercer did not pay me for a load as agreed I would be gone instantly, I don't want excuses just the money. I can't imagine pulling another load on any question of pay. It's foreign to me to place that kind of trust in anyone when they don't live up to their agreement of payment. Before the drum beat of week to week drivers borrowing money and using a fuel card, let me say I done need any of it, I hobby truck and have been more than blessed with means, but I still could not and would not tolerate the stories out of f2f. Granted I'm not there thank Christ so I can only give my opinion on what is known.

True, but it's the tomato farmers responsibility to have reserves to pay his employees.

What are the payment terms that are clearly stated in the contract? If company A agrees to provide services and company B agrees to pay within 30 days, then that's the agreement.
On the other hand, if company C agrees to settle with company D by the end of the week but doesn't pay until 30 days later then company C violated the contract. -
Everyone has their own comfort zone.....kjoseph
Some people wouldn't pull for mercer because of low rates. If you weren't a hobby trucker could you haul some of those loads ?
Many ways to do things..... All I'm saying. -

No o couldn't, but I still want paid the next day when I do.

An O/O should have at LEAST 90 days of reserve operating capitol before ever even thinking about being O/O. It's nice to get a check in 30 days but you have to realize that big companies wait 90 days to pay.
My point being that it looks like some of these guys are not ready to be real O/O's. -
Real or not to anyone's standard, f2f is not paying per the contract or the late/slow pay would never be an issue.skinnyb01 Thanks this.
