Does it make you automatically at fault in an accident if you're drinking your coffee when some four-wheeler does something stupid? I'm sure their lawyer would use it against you. Anyways, I'll quit before I ever drive with a camera pointing at my face all day. Screw all the companies who do that to the drivers.

A lawyer that is suing you is going to use anything, and everything they can to prove your at fault. These Truck accident Attorneys specialize in screwing Trucking companies and their drivers. The driver facing camera will not lesson or relieve the company of any liability for the actions of it's drivers. A smart lawyer will always find some way to entrap a driver under cross examination to prove the drivers negligence. Why would anyone be dumb enough to hand the lawyer a videotape of his actions and reactions during an accident? The Companies that use these cameras know this. The driver facing camera is nothing more then another form of intimidation and control of it's drivers. They claim these cameras have reduced accidents by 80% when they started using them! I say that's pure BS put out by LYTX The company that makes these cameras.

I know this is companies that use them but found it interesting that the one company known for it's excessive safety rules etc. doesn't use them and quote "never will".
According to Craig Homsley from JB Hunt corporate, the vice president of operations there is quoted as saying they have no plans to install cameras of any kind in their trucks and never will.

So much for all you sheep that say accept them cuz they're coming everywhere, huh?

My landlord owns my apartment, but if they install a camera pointing towards my bedroom door and then tell me it'll only record in the event of a fire alarm or burglar alarm, I'll have a moving van backed up to the front door before the end of business that day. If they're lucky, I'll only back it up *to* the front door and not *through* the front door.

Hello fellow driver's I drive for 1920 Transport been there for 3 year's 7 month's now and they have these camera's in all the truck's now and I know they lie about watching you I believe they are watching you all the time,I'm currently on a 3 day suspension because I covered the camera, they couldn't wait to pounce on me for interrupting their fun view,I feel our constitutional right's are being wiped away ohh that's right we are truck driver's we have no right's or so they think, well the way I see it there is no winning because these idiot's who never have even driven a truck is going to watch and police everything you do,stuck for now butt always looking to better myself only reason I'm here is because I want to be home with my family, these thing's suck and we can just add them to the list of the thing's that are against us.

This is a continuation they do use the camera to discipline the driver for hard breaking seat belt cell phone use without a headset like I said they watch you all the time yes you can trigger the camera and that is when it will record the incident that triggered it but they watch you and they police you all the time!!!
