Those days are gone. That yard was teamster but it's being sold to Matheson.
You used to be able to make that there.
That's my old yard.
Air liquide bought air gas recently and they have to sell a bunch of their yards because the government made them as part of the deal.

Correction; They bought Air Gas not Air PRoducts.Edjahman Thanks this. -
So many 'Airs' to keep up with.
They had to sell X amount of terminals as part of the deal because the government doesn't want them to have a monopoly. I still know people who work at Martinez and apparently Matheson is buying it.
Pittsburg doesn't run so many miles from what I've heard and they subsequently made quite a bit less then Martinez drivers. A lot of Pittsburg runs were to Silicon Valley which doesn't provide many miles and of course Bay Area hospitals etc.
Do your research on the particular terminal you want to work out of, driver!
Come to Houston! They run like crazy, year around!Last edited: Apr 5, 2016

Can someone give me the skinny on Air Products. I have an interview coming up with them.
I've been told Air Products was the best out of Air Gas, Air Liquide, Praxair, Linde, CTI, etc.Last edited: Apr 23, 2016

Hello.
I currently work with someone who is friends with someone else who was recently hired on at Air Products.
He said that Air Products is a really good company and apparently they have had a lot of recent growth.
Good luck in your pursuits and keep in touch!
