Funny, I looked into working at COTC last summer, and all the talk of pay just didn't add up in my head. They said you can make 65 a year but when I did the match I couldn't see how it was possible. Needless to say I changed my mind about working there.

 

Sounds about like every other scam trucking company these days. Hourly pay is the only way to go.
Piece work=free work.

 

I worked for COTC. I have friends that still work for COTC. I have friends that used to work for COTC. None of them, including myself, have a poor view of COTC. Its flatbed otr trucking. Is what it is. It's not for everyone. I preferred flatbeds over dry vans. Some drivers just want to drive. I got $30 to tarp a load. I could tarp most loads in 30 minutes or less, untarp in 20 minutes or less. That's at least $30 for an hour's labor. Unpaid wait times are the nature of OTR trucking for now. You may not recommend COTC but I would if OTR and flatbeds are your thing.

 

Why is orientation 4 days long?... that seems like a crock

Completed my first year December closed out with $57,000 on w2. Add in medical and matching 401k. I'm not complaining about it. It's still a truck and they are still a trucking company.
