Meeting different folks, that's always cool. Some bad eggs, but mostly good ones. Seeing an old building or piece of equipment and wondering when it was built or used for. Old trucking songs when I'm on my way home. Certain places I stop regularly and getting to know people by name.
What is your favorite thing about driving a truck?

I like not having to deal with coworkers and annoying customers. Listening to the radio while getting paid to drive is pretty low stress.
I like my Mesa recto. \m/

Being 34, single, no kids. 1/5 of one check pays my bills. Freedom to do whatever I want, when I want.

Short skirts, sunrises, sunsets, negotiating deals then showing them that I was worth the money . Doing what I do, when I want to do it!

My favorite thing is "me time". Most people would probably say I am a happy-go-lucky old guy who is very sociable, but really, it's a real effort to come off that way. I just like being alone with my thoughts, working on my projects, and not talking to anyone when I can help it. I am a nice guy, but I'd rather sit in silence usually, screw around on my phone, listen to podcasts, read a book... Like a sober stoner- I solve all the worlds problems in my head while I drive...then forget about 90% of it once I am back on earth.
"I know there was a glass filter and involved, and something about pigmy goats, but how does this fix Syria and cure cancer again? ######...you just gotta believe me, the answer is right there, I swear!"Ex-Con-Trucker, Wooly Rhino and Oxbow Thank this. -
Right there with ya. I honestly like driving to the jobsite more than actually working on the jobsite.

Driving a truck has all the perks of being in Prison but you can get out of it anytime you want.
