Read a guy got on here as a recent grad at Loves. Buddy got hired on at Pepsi with a CDL permit last spring. Says his pay is 22hr plus bonus as a Side Bay driver. Seen Shamrock Foods want to train drivers for CDL. Sygma Foodservice trains drivers. My old company US Foods would train off dock for CDL. XPO/Conway Freight has a CDL program as well as ABF in my area. My company takes recent grads in the city. April alot of LTL companies hire recent grad for city drivers. These companies that train will take a recent grad. Pretty sure all the food service takes recent grads. Cost of living isn't dirt cheap but a lot less then NY.

I would like to relocate back to NV. but thus far I don't see any good paying jobs there.

There is one co., B.J. Cecil Trucking. I've seen adds from time to time for HM drivers hauling acid in Battle Mntn. I've left mssgs a few times but haven't received a call-back.

Wow. 91K as a company driver? That's really good. I live in New Orleans and I don't believe local fuel haulers make anywhere near that. A few years back I spoke with a company called JOTCO and was told between $750 and $1200 a week. And that was working six days and pretty long hours! What's your work schedule like @Cali kid?

We work 4/10s but usually have enough work for 12hours, we get paid O.T. after 10hours. I run alot of 5 day work weeks and sometimes 6days extra days are all O.T.. Also our holiday pay kicks a@@ at double time and a half.

Cost of living. I would imagine that 91K in Cali is like 70K (probably less) in New Orleans. Cops in SF start out at $81K per year vs $43K in Atlanta. If you could somehow get a job in Cali and find yourself in a rent free situation, then you'd be living large.

Here we go there's always one, look call it what you want even for CA what I make isn't the average around these parts. I got a buddy that works for LAPD and even he is blown away by what we make. And I don't live near the Bay which is where all the tech business are located aka Silicon Valley.
