Probably, because as a trucker you would have less access to kids.
But drug or theft related crimes are directly associated to trucking.

I was just making a point about
So what you're saying is that trucking companies could care less about the sort of people they hire as long as they are insurable?

If the insurance companies control who can be hired...
    And, they do.

It is also about potential risk to the company, and the CSA score.
No company will want to hire someone that has a history of theft or drugs if it is in that system.
And the companies that don't care are usually not worth working for.

My dad thinks if I explain that I only got caught selling drugs to the police, not moving drugs across state lines or anything that I can still get a job as a trucker, but I am skeptical. Please give me your opinion on this and nothing else.

Use the parole department to get a school grant (x offender program) and become a chemist...you do seem pretty handy with chemicals...lol
Hit your PO for leads...Sometime felony friendly jobs make themselves known to the parole/probation folk

Youll make more or the same money driving q a forklift in some random warehouse than you will at any trucking company that will hire you.

The only path i really see for you in trucking is if you starve out at a 1099 outfit for a couple years while you learn the ropes and network..then if your old man or somehow else you can manage to get 15-20k and buy an old columbia and run under your own authority. Youd have to want it though....
