nobody has an opinion?

I've been researching this company, too - are you driving for them now? If so, how are things going? If not, who are you driving for now? Thanks.
-
They start at 42 cpm.You have to give up two hours for detention then get a whoping $9.00 hr.
They will tell you to be in 7am and you will be lucky of your load is ready by 9am.
If you are over the road for them they want you to take your restart on the road.
It all depends on what you are looking for. OTR will make $65k or so.
Personally, I think one can do better elsewhere. -
I've heard the same thing. Talked to some of there drivers at a truck stop, seems to be alot of unhappy drivers there. they say the company does'nt hold up its end, as far as bonuses, runs, milage. i guess the disbatcher is a jerk, treats the drivers like lowlife slaves. glad i didn't answer there add.

I just quit a rather decent job (not Carbonic) because the dispatcher was the type duramax-man mentions above...some say money isn't everything and I agree, I refuse to be treated disrespectfully by anyone I work for and will not put up with it even for a great income situation. Oh, to be more on topic...I looked at Continental Carbonic recently and one thing I learned: they have the drivecam system in their trucks...this might matter to some, one way or the other.
Buffalo69 Thanks this. -
Not to dig up an old thread, but figured id make a post on it here rather than clutter up the forum with a new post.
I just interviewed with them yesterday. Yes they have drive cams, and they also have a 0 tolerance policy on phones even if on a hands free. If you are caught you are automatically fired on the spot, you will be the one responsible for the ride home. That was a deal breaker for me because my wife and I talk on the phone all the time, as well as my daughters when they need me. Other than that, they have a decent set up, they advertise 70k minimum to start with most averaging 75k after the first year, if running out of the Greenville Ohio plant. Youll be on dedicated routes from the plant to mostly offices set up in the major cities on the east cost, and mid west, some customer deliveries with stop off pay. $5000 sign on bonus, with some new program where they pay you an additional sum up front. Insurance was paid for by the company, and was fairly decent. $1200 deductible for a family regardless of size, vision and dental all paid for. Detention pay, stop off pay, 90% no touch and about 80% drop and hook. orientation would be 2 weeks, at the plant you run out of, with hotel and food paid for. I was all ready to say sign me up, then she dropped the bombshell on me for the cell phone policy. I have to be allowed for my daughters to contact me. I always use handsfree and have never had an issue.SaturnKnts, NoobiDriver and cisco Thank this. -
The policy of absolutely no phone usage is true as well as the dash cam filming the truck driver. I wouldn't do it unless the pay they advertised was legit and even then, only for maybe a year or so to do some serious saving.

sounds like pretty standard issues all the truckers have except the cell phone thing. I cant talk to my wife at my current job so it won't be a big deal. I am debating on them now. looking at Buchanan out of Fort Wayne too

Isn't this company a dry ice manufacturer? Do they have their own fleet of trucks?
