I thought it was funny that I was put on narco for my torn shoulder muscle on worker comp. Well after the first appt when I got it I got sent for a test. I failed of coarse and the Dr, called verifying then the company called also. Just thought it was comical they paid for me to take a drug then asked about it when it showed up...lol

Oh I know. They just paid for the drug I took. I was surprised I took a couple days to get sent to a test.

No never ever ask a company directly. It will throw up red flags as to why you are asking about drug tests. We're beating a dead horse here. You said you are off the meds. The regular test doesn't test for klonopin or other benzos. If you do happen to take an 8,12 or hair follicle test have your doctor write you a note saying you are no longer taking the prescribed medication and you should be good to go.

To the OP @Falcon86a your not doing your state of mind any favors by obsessing over this subject. If your on the medication, be honest, answer the questions asked and go forward in life. Having a "prescribed" medication show up on your drug test is not the same as having a "Failed" test. I've had to take randoms, return to work and pre-employment all while taking prescribed schedule 1 narcotics (courtesy of a broken back many years ago). Of course these medications show up as a positive when tested on a standard 5 panel but a quick call from the MRO to my doctor verifying that I am in fact currently prescribed "XYZ" and the results of the test a returned to the employer as negative.

Lying about your condition or the medicine your using to control this condition is grounds for termination, being honest is not! If you lie and if your pass the pre-employment and if you get hired then drive out the driveway and become involved in a fatality accident even by no fault of your the lawyers WILL find out you lied and you will be named liable right along with your company and let me tell you the 12 peers in the jury box will not feel one bit sorry for you when they award a multi-million dollar judgement against you. You'll likely never drive a truck again and you'll also likely be sending most of your paycheck to the court trustee for the rest of your life. Then when your life is over anything that may have gone to your spouse/children/grand children will be swallowed up by the same court trustee.

I'm in a position where I do hire drivers, lie to me about something like this and you'll never work for me now or in the future. Be honest with me, we'll talk about it, maybe even have a visit with your doctor but as long as you own your condition, are honest about it and the medication necessary to control it doesn't affect your ability to do the job then you'll have the job. I'm on medications as are many people, being on medication to control something you have no control over is not something to lie about or try to hide. Now I'm with a small company not some driver mill so we can and do make judgements based on the individual not based on some incomprehensible doctrine written by over-priced lawyers to protect the investment of the millions of stock holders. If the company your applying with happens to be one of these and doesn't want to employ you because your on medications that in all likelihood the entire board of directors is taking then move on and look for a smaller company.

I said it once, I will say it again, if you want to stop being a pawn in the medical chemistry set, then figure out your microbiome. I'm a gambler, and I'd be willing to go "all in" that anyone taking antidepressants are eating at least 100 grams of sugar or sugar substitutes a day.

Do your own research. Stop being the medical guinea pig.
