In the video they said the officers were trying to move the two cars that were involved in an accident (which one of the drivers abandon his car and fled on foot) from the middle of the highway, so it doesn't sound like this was a simple move over for a car on the shoulder. Do the FedEx trucks run cameras?
-
I hope they really hammer this guy.
-
I wonder if FedEx gets in trouble also since these trucks are not owned by FedEx and the drivers are not employed by FedEx either. Many many companies contract out their trucking needs.
-
No difference then anyone else driving a car. Involuntary manslaughter at most. As little as 1 year in jail in some cases.x1Heavy Thanks this.

Fedex name and dot number is on the truck. So fedex is liable beginning to end. FedEx has been killing people and destroying property as a matter of weekly routine for decades now. What's different about this one more crash?
FedEx has obviously figured out which wheels to keep greased to be allowed to operate with impunity other then just settle each and every case ... The operation continues unabated. -
DUI, hit a cop parked with disco lights going.
Oh wait ... Only FedEx can manage this level of stupidity -
No, Fedex name on truck but not their DOT number, not their truck and not their driver. They contract out.
-
which is why their CRASH numbers aren't properly reported. If FedEx had to take the heat for every one of these contractors, the DOT would probably shut them down.......wait, uh, no......as long as Western Express is on the road, FedEx has nothing to worry about.
-
DOT does not punish companies for what a driver does that is totally out of their control. Now, if they go into their records which they will they can hold the company responsible also if they knew the driver had a drinking problem.
Like Walmart and Traci Morgan. Walmart was going to fight it but Traci wanted money so they settled which I'm surprised they did. Walmart was not responsible for knowing he had been up so long. Even so, I don't think that was the cause. I think it was just speed
